The customer had several crucial requests:
• A robot that can deliver food autonomously, with the function of accurate navigation and obstacle avoidance
• It had to deliver food accurately regardless of which table customers chose after taking a table tent
• The robot should be easy for waiters to set up and operate
• The staff needed to know the delivery status of different tables for all the customers at the same time, in case some tables might need urgent services when the robot is occupied
Here are the results AROS Engineering has achieved:
• The delivery robot helps UGO serve over 7,000 tables per month, 240 tables per day on average
• It takes about 1 minute to deliver food to a specific table. After that, customers can choose to manually ask the robot to return to the kitchen or leave the robot and it will go back automatically after a certain time
